Stopped in Wytheville for a little shopping, but would come back again just for a meal at Papa Tasos! The food is absolutely delicious; the employees are kind and friendly; and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. I cannot remember the last time I went to a restaurant for dinner and insisted on going back for lunch the next day. Both times, I got one of the seafood combination platters. The seafood is fresh and has a very light, but incredibly flavorful, batter on it. The cocktail and tartar sauces are house made, and perfectly complement the food. Do yourself a favor and get the hush puppies and the onion petals, too. As if the delicious food is not incentive enough to visit, I would be remiss if I failed to mention Papa Tasos himself. He seems to bustle around the restaurant, greeting customers with a smile, checking orders, and running the register. His presence adds a warmth and charm to the experience that I can't quite put into words. 10/10 recommended this place. I wish there were more places like it!

The owner Papa was so nice and friendly. The food was delicious and the portions were huge. Definitely recommend coming here hungry.. We both got the ribeye special. Their homemade chicken noodle soup was wonderful, and he gave us complimentary which was delicious as well.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Wytheville. The fish was fresh, the fries crisp, and the hush puppies delicious. Service was fast and the staff friendly. The location was clean with plenty of parking. They have a full service bar. They also had a salad bar with an amazing selection. The menu is huge with tons of options other than fish including a Greek corner. I’d love to try the gyro next time as it was recommended. I’d recommend Papa Tasos!

This place is so underrated and under appreciated. Small independently owned business by what appears to be a very involved man in Papa Taso. Yes he greeted me, after my waitress already began taking care of me, yes he went back to kitchen to cook, yes he checked on me and all other tables like an involved owner. My actual waitress was super sweet, as I was traveling with dogs and had to sit outside, and she cared for me and dogs perfectly. Like most restaurants nothing is perfect, and my only complaint of any was steak was slightly undercooked, but when ordering med-rare it’s always iffy anywhere. Now where they may have a shortcoming or two, they make up for it in value and fresh ingredients and hospitality. The girl at hotel recommend this place , and as always I ask her favorite menu item, her reply was hush puppies. I normally don’t do them as I think they are typically stuffed with fish or something. Well pleasant surprise, the hush puppies are served as a free table appetizer, they don’t have fish, and they were ridiculously good. Reminded me of a sweet Italian pastry called a zepole, just without powered sugar which wouldn’t be necessary. The salad was so fresh and piled high with a delicious homemade Greek vinaigrette filled with feta cheese I think. Anyways you all need to show this place some love, if you care about a real restaurant in your area. This place if it were in larger city could easily increase prices and still deliver great value. Keep up the excellent work Papa Taso and team. I will definitely be back when passing through this part of VA

We stopped by because this place was so close to the interstate. And it was worth it!!! Food portions were a great size. We not the daily special since we were in a hurry, thinking it would be faster service, and we were right! Flounder and popcorn shrimp came out nice and hot! We were in and out in under 30 minutes. Clean tables and friendly staff!

We were greeted at the door by the owner, (he also offered to let us cook our own meal ) and the waitress was very attentive. We got the lamb gyro and a combo plate of fried calamari and chicken tenders. The gyro was excellent and very fresh, and the calamari was crazy good- the most tender fried calamari I’ve ever had. Definitely a great little lunch spot!

Dined on the patio for a casual dinner with my family and our dog, and we had a wonderful time! Our waitress was super sweet and brought us fresh hush puppies, and the owner Tasos was so welcoming coming out twice to say hi and chat with us. The seafood was delicious, and my son raved about the chicken tenders. Such a nice night out and would definitely return!

Tweeks Road trip Food Review: Define lately a decent, yummy, non chain stop for really good Greek and greek seafood if going up or down I81 through Wythville. Papa, the owner, says he's been serving Greek and Greek seafood here for around 36yrs! A super nice guy. The fried clams were especially good. Not those Sysco, pre breaded, frozen garbage. These were fresh breaded and fried clams. Good stuff. My wife had the gyro platter and I had the fried ale broiled seafood platter . They even subbed garlic butter broccoli for my fries. NOM!
